The first “recipe” for making the Brunello has been tested by a landowner, Biondi Santi, still now one of the first producers, in the late 19th century and then in 1967 was founded The Consorzio del vino Brunello to protect the production and the prestige of this precious and expensive wine.

But you need to taste the wine to understand what Brunello means… but you mustn’t drink too much because we will also visit the wonderful S.Antimo Abbey, S.Quirico d’Orcia, Buonconvento and we don’t want you are going to sleep and missing it all!
